Supplies Needed
- Flowers and leaves
- Thick books (like phonebooks or encyclopedias)
- Wax paper
- Cardstock or sturdy paper
- String or ribbon
- Hole punch
Instructions
- Gather a variety of colorful flowers and leaves.
- Gently remove any excess dirt or debris from the flowers and leaves.
- Place a sheet of wax paper on a page in a thick book. Lay your flowers and leaves on the wax paper, ensuring they are flat and not overlapping.
- Place another sheet of wax paper on top of the flowers.
- Close the book tightly, making sure the flowers are pressed firmly between the pages.
- Allow the flowers to dry completely, once the flowers are dry, carefully remove them from the book.
- Cut out shapes from cardstock or sturdy paper, such as circles, squares, or leaves.
- Attach the pressed flowers to the cardstock shapes using glue or tape.
- Punch holes in the top of each shape.
- Thread string or ribbon through the holes. Collect two sticks from outside and tie them together to create a mobile. Tie your flowers to the mobile.
- Hang your flower press mobile!
